1. Over current charging of UPS battery pack is strictly prohibited, because over-current charging is easy to cause bending of positive and negative plates inside the battery and falling off of active substances on the surface of the plate, resulting in reduction of usable capacity of the battery and damage to the battery.
2. Over voltage charging of the battery pack is strictly prohibited, because over voltage charging will cause the water contained in the electrolyte in the battery to be electrolyzed into hydrogen and oxygen and escape, so as to shorten the service life of the battery.
3. Excessive discharge of the battery pack is strictly prohibited, because excessive discharge is easy to sulfate the surface of the internal electrode plate of the battery, resulting in the increase of the internal resistance of the battery, and even the "reverse pole" phenomenon of individual batteries, resulting in permanent damage to the battery.
4. For long-term idle batteries, in order to ensure good charging and discharging characteristics of UPS batteries, do not add load before restarting and use them. Let the battery float charge for 10 ~ 15h by using the charging circuit in the machine and then use it again; For those who work in the backup state for a long time, usually every other month, let them work in the inverter state for at least 2 ~ 5min, so as to activate the battery of ups.
5. The ups host is generally intelligent. It does not require high ambient temperature, but requires indoor cleanliness. Otherwise, the dust will cause the host to work disorderly in case of moisture.
6. The parameters in the host cannot be changed arbitrarily during use; In case of power failure, avoid starting with load. Turn off the load first and then turn on the load after starting. Otherwise, there will be instantaneous overload caused by multi load impulse current and power supply current, and the converter will be damaged in serious cases.
7. When batteries with reverse voltage, large voltage drop, large pressure difference and acid mist leakage are found in UPS battery pack, corresponding methods shall be adopted in time for recovery and repair. Those that cannot be recovered and repaired shall be replaced, but batteries of different capacities, different performances and different manufacturers shall not be connected together, otherwise it may have an adverse impact on the whole set of batteries.
8. In case of failure of UPS battery system, find out the cause first and distinguish whether it is load or UPS power supply system; Is it a host or a battery pack. Although the ups host has the function of fault self-test, it is opposite but not at the right point, which is very convenient for replacing accessories. However, a lot of analysis and detection work still need to be done to repair the fault point.
