1. Different principles:

Lithium battery is made of lithium metal or lithium alloy as the anode material. Due to the very active chemical characteristics of lithium metal, the processing, preservation and use of lithium metal have very high environmental requirements.

The negative electrode of lithium-ion battery is graphite intercalated structural material. In the battery, lithium ions move between the positive and negative electrodes, so it is much safer than lithium battery.

2. Different charging:
Lithium battery is a battery, only special discharge, so lithium battery is disposable battery. Lithium-ion batteries are secondary batteries that can be recharged or discharged.

3. Different reactions:
Lithium battery lithium directly involved in the reaction, irreversible reaction. Lithium-ion battery lithium ions are involved in the reaction, reversible reaction.
