Lithium-ion batteries can be classified according to the different components, shapes and applications of lithium-ion batteries according to the following principles: electrolyte form, cathode material, application field, outer packaging material, shape. From the outer packaging materials, lithium ion batteries are mainly square, cylinder, soft package three categories, of which the shell of the square and cylinder is mainly made of aluminum alloy, stainless steel and other hard shell. The outer shell of the soft-coated battery is made of aluminum-plastic film: Aluminum-plastic film (ALF) is a composite material composed of aluminum foil, a variety of plastics and adhesives (including adhesive resins). In the soft-coated battery, the single-piece battery is sealed by aluminum-plastic film after assembly, and the aluminum-plastic film protects the contents. From the perspective of application fields, currently lithium-ion batteries mainly include three types: consumer batteries, energy storage batteries and power batteries.
