Lithium-ion battery is an increasingly widely used energy storage conversion device, which is favored by users because of its excellent electrochemical performance. It uses two compounds that can reversibly intercalate and deintercalate lithium ions as positive and negative electrodes, and is mainly composed of positive and negative electrodes, electrolytes, separators and shells. In real life, many people have certain misunderstandings when using lithium-ion batteries, so what is the correct way to use them?
1. Charge it properly. Although the lithium-ion battery itself has excellent electrochemical performance, if the wrong charging method is used for a long time, the battery will be depleted and even bring about safety hazards. Try to use the original charger to charge the lithium-ion battery. There are differences between the parameters of the non-original charger and the battery. Forced charging will cause the voltage to be unstable and prone to failure. In addition, it should be noted that try to keep the battery power not less than 20%, the long-term excessive use of the battery will also cause damage to the battery structure. Therefore, when the remaining power is 20%-30%, it should be charged in time.
2. Proper maintenance. Lithium-ion batteries should be stored in a cool and ventilated place to avoid storage temperature that is too low or too high. The ambient temperature also has a great influence on the discharge capacity, life, self-discharge, internal resistance, etc. of the lithium-ion battery. Therefore, the lithium-ion battery should be stored in an environment of about 22 °C, which can not only prolong the life of the battery, but also reduce the cost of the battery. Maintain the original capacity of the battery to the greatest extent.
